The Akwa Ibom State Police Command, as part of activities marking the ongoing Police Week Celebration, proudly acknowledged and deeply appreciated the exceptional and sustained support of the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, towards the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies in the State.

The Command, in a statement by DSP Timfon John, Police Public Relations Officer, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, noted with profound gratitude that the remarkable successes recorded in the fight against crime and the prevailing peace across Akwa Ibom State are largely attributable to the Governor’s visionary leadership, strategic investments in security infrastructure, and unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property.
It reads “His Excellency has continued to demonstrate uncommon dedication to security through landmark interventions, including the construction of internal road networks within the Police Headquarters, establishment of a State Command and Control Centre, and the ongoing development of the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) Barracks.
“These critical projects have significantly enhanced operational efficiency, mobility, coordination, and rapid response capability of security agencies in the State.
“Additionally, the consistent fuelling of patrol vehicles, provision of operational logistics, and other welfare-driven initiatives have greatly boosted the morale of officers and men of the Command, enabling them to discharge their duties with renewed vigor, professionalism, and dedication.”

The Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State Command, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, also reiterated that this level of support is highly commendable and instrumental in strengthening collaborative policing, improving operational effectiveness, and fostering public confidence in security institutions.
As Police Week serves as a period of reflection, appreciation, and renewed commitment to service, the Command assured His Excellency and the good people of Akwa Ibom State of its continuous resolve to sustain aggressive crime-fighting strategies, intelligence-led policing, enhanced community engagement, and robust visibility patrols across all nooks and crannies of the State.
The Command also called on residents to continue to cooperate with the Police and other security agencies by providing timely and credible information that will aid in preventing and combating crime.
“The Akwa Ibom State Police Command remains resolute, professional, and committed to safeguarding lives and property across the State,” the statement stated.
