A former Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai is full of praises and commendation to the 33rd Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Major General Abdul Khalifah Ibrahim.

He spoke during the pulling out ceremony dinner organised for Maj Gen AK Ibrahim in Kaduna State.
According to him, AK Ibrahim has distinguished himself even far beyond his career in the Armed Forces to the nation as a whole.
He said “I’ve known him to be very strong fellow, highly focused, he’s a leader from the front, of course.
“I realised the capacity he has to execute any assigned task diligently. I first appointed him as acting General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division.
“He took over from very gallant, dedicated, fearless, courageous General, being General Bulama Biu.
“I didn’t see any change from that transition between General Bulama Biu and General AK Ibrahim and the tempo of that Operation in the North East continued fantastically.
“Let me congratulate you on a very successful service to our great nation, Nigeria. We are very proud of you.
“Your people are waiting for you back home, and I know you will deliver at any time whatever task you are given. I’m happy to be part of this celebration,” he stated.
Continuing, General Buratai said “So I’m glad this event has taken place. You have left a legacy from all the testimonies that we’ve heard from those that spoke, including the cadets and the professors.”
He also congratulated AK Ibrahim’s successor, Major General Oluyemi Olatoye and wished him well on the new appointment.
Stressing that the NDA is still in good hands, he expressed confidence that the new Commandant will continue from where AK Ibrahim stopped.
“And I know Gen Olatoye and other determined, very hardworking officers.
“He’s a General per excellent, I believe NDA is in good hands. I congratulate Olatoye on the appointment,” he stated.
