The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under Operation FANSAN YAMMA Sector 1, has carried out a series of precision air strikes from 24th to 26th June, 2025 in support of ground troops.
It targeted terrorists behind recent attacks in Niger State.
On 26th June, following credible intelligence, with inter-service and inter-agency cooperation, a statement by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information and made available to Security Watch Africa (SWA), said that NAF identified terrorists activities involving attacks and cattle rustling in Kakihun and Kumbashi communities.
The statement added “It Swiftly deploying air assets, the Air Component executed multiple waves of precision strikes that neutralized scores of terrorists, destroyed their logistics, and disrupted regrouping efforts.
“The operation demonstrated NAF’s professionalism, rapid response capability, and strong coordination with ground forces and other agencies.
“The Nigerian Air Force remains resolutely committed to protecting the lives and property of all Nigerians and ensuring lasting peace across the country.” it stated.
