To enhance the health, well-being, and operational readiness of its personnel, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) will conduct its annual 10KM Walk/Jog Exercise in Abuja on Saturday, 18 October 2025.
The exercise, which underscores the importance of physical fitness to military efficiency, is scheduled to commence at 6:00 am and conclude by 8:00 am.
This was contained in a statement by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, and made available to Security Watch Africa (SWA).
During the exercise, it said that the service lane between Karu Bridge and Mogadishu Cantonment Bridge will be temporarily closed to vehicular movement to ensure the safety of participants and the general public.
“The NAF wishes to reassure residents of the Federal Capital Territory that adequate arrangements have been made to minimise any inconvenience that may arise during the exercise. Normal traffic flow will resume immediately after the event.
“The NAF appreciates the cooperation and understanding of the general public as it continues to prioritise the fitness and readiness of its personnel in service to the nation.
“We apologise for any inconveniences this may cause to road users,” the statement stated.
