Ilisan, Nigeria – Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, on Saturday, 15th August 2026, arrested a 101-year-old woman, Esther Ogunmabo, for dealing in illicit drugs in Ilisan, Ogun State.

According to the Director, Media and Advocacy of NDLEA, Femi Babafemi in a statement on Sunday, the centenarian was found with retail sachets of skunk, a strain of cannabis weighing 90 grams, which she admitted selling to locals.
Speaking to operatives, Mama Ogunmabo said she resorted to the illicit trade after her provisions shop was razed by fire.
She added that one of her daughters, who resides in Lagos, supplies her every four days.
Given her advanced age, the Chairman/Chief Executive of NDLEA, Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), has directed that she be granted bail and placed on counselling.
Her daughter, identified as the supplier, has been arrested in Lagos.
The arrest is one of several breakthroughs recorded by the Agency across land and maritime borders in the past week.
