Troops of 3 Division/Operation SAFE HAVEN while conducting offensive operations at criminal hideouts along the fringes of Pinau Village in Wase Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State have neutralised notorious bandits.
It carried out the operation on 31 May 2025 at about 1420 hours, while acting on credible intelligence.
Security Watch Africa (SWA) gathered that the troops made contact with criminal elements terrorising the general area of Pinau-Gimbi Road during the operation and overwhelmed the criminals with superior firepower forcing them to flee in disarray.
“Troops neutralised 3 of the criminals while others fled with possible gunshot wounds as indicated by the blood stains along their withdrawal routes.
“Troops exploited the general area and recovered one AK-47 rifle and one AK-47 magazine.
“The recovered weapon is in custody for further action. Meanwhile, troops are conducting follow-up operations to intercept the fleeing criminals.”
