Somerset East Station Commander, Captain Zukiswa Mzalisi has commended Detective Sergeant Bulelwa Nancy Yantolo, for the thorough investigation and the conviction of three robbery suspects.
The suspects, Ebrahim Alifa, 29, Ason Mine, 24, Lucky Usuf, 24, were convicted and sentenced to 15years imprisonment by the Somerset East Regional Court.
It was learnt that the business robbery occurred in October 2020, when the three suspects with handguns entered Paktech Shop, Nojoli Street, Somerset East and robbed the shop owner of 66 Cellular Phones and Cellular Tablets.
According to Captain Bradley Rawlinson, “the three suspects who were arrested shortly after the Police were notified of the robbery, were found in possession of the stolen Cellphones and Cellular Tablets.
“The accused remained in custody for the whole duration of the investigation.”
