Towards boosting strategic Military production in Nigeria, the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) on Thursday 3, July 2025 played host to a Homeland Protectors and Supplies Ltd, a Saudi Arabian delegation led by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Sheik Ali Hussain A Aldayhani at the DICON House Boardroom in Kaduna.
The visit, according to a statement by Lieutenant Colonel Haruna Mohammed Sani, DICON, and made available to Security Watch Africa (SWA), marked a significant milestone in strenghening of the Military Industrial Complex (MIC), Armed Forces of Nigeria and other security agencies.
Speaking at the occasion, the Director General, DICON, Major General Babatunde Alaya expressed appreciation for the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two parties.
He noted that DICON remained committed to deepening partnerships supporting the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other security agencies to tackle security challenges and even export beyond Nigeria.
“This development will foster growth of indigenous companies within the context of MIC” the DG said.
General Alaya extolled the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Bola Tinubu, Minister of Defence and the Minister of State for Defence for their continuous and sustained efforts towards reviving the Corporation to deliver on its statutory mandate.
On his part, the MD/CEO, Sheik Ali Hussain A Aldayhani commended DICON for its impressive strides in developing strategic partnership to produce military hardwares to dominate Africa and beyond.
He reiterated the readiness of the Homeland Protectors and Supply Ltd to continue to support Nigeria to boost her local production in defence products and development.
Highlight of the event were signing of the MoU and strategic discussion towards strengthening partnership and knowledge exchange to tackle contemporary security challenges especially in the country’s porous border.
