Education remains one of the most important investments any government can make. Recognizing the critical role of education in shaping the future, Governor Umo Eno has placed educational advancement at the centre of the ARISE Agenda.

Over the past three years, the administration has implemented targeted reforms and practical interventions aimed at improving schools, supporting students, strengthening the teaching workforce and expanding access to quality education across Akwa Ibom State.
1. Governor Umo Eno has approved and released ₦5.9 billion for basic education reforms, providing resources for the upgrading of public primary and junior secondary schools. This intervention is improving learning facilities and creating a more conducive environment for teaching and learning.
2. The administration has embarked on the construction of Model Primary Schools across the state, equipped with modern classrooms, libraries, ICT facilities, healthcare units and sporting infrastructure. These schools are raising the standard of public education and expanding access to quality learning opportunities for children in both urban and rural communities.

3. Governor Umo Eno has approved the recruitment of 1,000 teachers to address manpower shortages in public schools. This intervention is strengthening classroom instruction and improving the quality of education available to pupils across the state.
4. The administration has placed special emphasis on the recruitment of ICT and Computer Science teachers to prepare students for a technology-driven future. This initiative is helping to promote digital literacy and equip learners with skills relevant to the modern economy.
5. Governor Umo Eno has increased bursary payments for Akwa Ibom students from ₦20,000 to ₦50,000, easing the financial burden on students and their families while expanding access to higher education.

6. The administration has upgraded the state’s College of Education to a University of Education, a landmark step that is expanding access to tertiary education, strengthening teacher training and producing the skilled manpower required to drive the state’s development aspirations.
7. Beyond constructing new schools, the government has rehabilitated existing educational facilities, upgrading classrooms, furniture, sanitation facilities, water systems and electricity infrastructure to improve learning conditions across the state.
8. These interventions have created opportunities for thousands of young people across Akwa Ibom State. Students are benefiting from improved learning conditions, enhanced educational support and better access to quality education.
9. Taken together, these achievements reflect Governor Umo Eno’s belief that education is not merely a social service but a strategic investment in the future of the state.
10. From basic education reforms and model schools to teacher recruitment, bursary enhancement and institutional expansion, the administration has demonstrated a practical commitment to educational development and human capital growth.

11. On account of his remarkable achievements and the visible impact of his policies and programmes across Akwa Ibom State, Governor Umo Eno will be overwhelmingly reelected by a landslide, enabling him to consolidate on the gains already recorded and advance the ARISE Agenda.
